Day #3 ~ Louisville & Bowling Green

We started the day with a tour of Churchill Downs and visit to their museum.

Colorful Jockey silks & Mint Julep glasses.

Mark down on the track.

This is where the winners stand.

After Churchill Downs we headed south.  We saw this truck load of Bourbon.

We stopped briefly at the Mammoth Cave National Park.  Wish we had had time for a tour of the caves.

We visited the GM Assembly Plant in Bowling Green where all the Corvettes are assembled.
 It was fascinating.

After the plant tour we visited the National Corvette Museum.

We stopped for a snack at the Chaney Dairy Farm.
The ice cream I'm eating was made with the milk from the cows in the background.
  It was delicious.

We arrived in Nashville around 7:30pm.
We checked into our hotel then took a walk down to Music Row.
There were many restaurants and bars with live music.
